About The Grasswood Horse Park

Located just south of Saskatoon, SK, the Grasswood Horse Park is managed by a volunteer non-profit group, the Corman Park Horse Riders Association (CPHRA). Riding facilities include a natural trail obstacle course, two fenced arenas, a perimeter trail and a polocrosse field.

The park is open to the riding public with a paid membership All membership fees go towards maintenance and development of the park.

As a multipurpose equine friendly park, it supports a variety of horse-related pursuits in a safe environment, to be around for future generations to enjoy. Because of the diverse needs of park users, expansion of facilities and event organizing is on going and ever changing, limited only by budget and volunteer availability. Situated on 50 acres, the park is approximately 15 minutes south of Saskatoon, near the corner of Baker Road (Township Rd 354) and Preston Ave (Range Road 3052).

History

In 2012, planning and development began through the vision of horse enthusiasts. The land was made available by the RM of Corman Park as part of their mandate to provide green spaces for public use. To that end, the park is open to non-motorized forms of recreation year-round. The Natural Trail Obstacle Course has become the park’s center point with more than 30 elements to challenge the rider/handler and their horse. Currently, this unique park is the only public venue in Canada supporting equine activities.
