2019 Ride ‘n’ Slide

UPDATE: March 15. RIDE ‘N SLIDE for March 17 is CANCELLED. Unfortunately, the snow has melted too much to hold the event. The track has deteriorated and it would no longer suitable or safe for horses or sliders. We apologize for the inconvenience, we are in the process or contacting all our registrants to give them a refund. We will also be contacting the sponsors. Join us for an exciting day of skijoring at the Grasswood Horse Park on March 17, 2019! Bring your horse and enter as a team with your friends. Don’t have a horse? We have horses that are ready to pull!

We have events for every skill level, with divisions for beginners, intermediate and experienced skiers and snowboarders, ages 12 and up. We have a .5km Circuit track with jumps and gates, a Relay event, and 200m Sprint lanes. At the end of the day we’ll relax and visit with hot chocolate around the bonfire.

(Weather permitting. Cross your fingers that we’ll have a warm day!)

Volunteers are needed! We will need people-help on event day, and horses that are conditioned all winter that can pull competitors.

Event schedule:
o Gates open at 9:00 am.
o Check In for competitors is at 9:30
o Races begin at 10:00 sharp
o Lunch break from 12:30 – 1:00
o Winners announced at 5:00
o Bonfire and hot chocolate to follow
